Students while at level-4 (final year) are being observed to be serious about some issues like:
-Making groups for industrial attachment
-Making groups for project works
-Choosing the project topics
-Choosing the supervisor for both industrial attachment and project works
-Choosing the factory for the attachment
Okay, let's consider every issue has been accomplished. But students usually go for industrial attachment and merely focus on it. They almost forget about the project works. They think or generally start the project works after the industrial attachment and even mostly just before the project works presentation. Actually, they are being serious about it just after seeing the official notice for the project presentation. Doing somewhat from somewhere by somehow, prepare the report and submit it. So what happens??? As the consequences, they just appear to pass the board. Knowing all these facts, students generally are being defeated by themselves and prepare themselves to taste unexpected comments from the board. This taste is usually termed as "Board ragging". Actually, all these are totally unexpected from the students, especially from engineering students.

👉What we should do?
As an engineering student, everyone must have a focal discipline/area in which they have a good command and good interests. Actually, this is being prominent gradually from semester by semester if s/he is concerned about her/his studies. Students should do something prior to the project works like:
-choosing the topic to work on.
-choosing the supervisor and co-supervisor who is also interested in the same discipline.
-preparing a good plan (research plan)
-preparing a well-defined research methodology along with the supervisor.
-start working according to this plan.
When should the students work for this project? Definitely while in the industrial attachment. Because they have no other duties (studies/examination) in this period rather have a full scope to work closely in the factory. They can perform different tests, collect data and more importantly can have all running facilities there. Another important thing is that they can gain practical suggestions from the concerned executives which definitely helps them to have significant project work. This project work will be true and real with great impacts. Consequently, this work can be published in any renowned journal that must be for any engineering students' project.
Project works should be given more priority to have true engineering education. Someone may think that it is for good CGPA holders not for us. Wrong thinking, absolutely wrong thinking. The project works is equally important to all. The true project works teach us some important aspects of the career like:
-Team working
-Problems identifying techniques
-Problems solving techniques
-Thinking a thing from different perspectives
-Working with a target and accomplishments
These will definitely prepare yourselves fit for your career.
Besides, students who want to go for higher studies will have enormous advantages from true project work.

Actually presenting the works done for 20/30mins is not enough to understand your efforts. Your works must be evaluated with appreciation if you can show some publications or conference proceedings from your research works.
