What is supply chain:
Supply chain refers to the series of processes or firms that are involved in producing and delivering the products or even service to the end users or consumers.
What is global supply chain:
When the necessary processes or firms or manufacturing facilities involved in producing the goods/service are located in different parts (countries) of the world, then the chain is termed as global supply chain.
What is global apparel supply chain: If the different processes of a garment of certain style are executed in different countries across the world, then the chain sequence is called the global apparel supply chain. This type of chain is used especially for critical items. These types of critical garments require the uncommon and special raw materials produced in different countries. That means, if all the raw materials are not available in the garment manufacturing countries then they need to source for the raw materials. For example, global supply chain for a jacket manufacturing has been illustrated in the figure given below.
