Close observation: Bangladesh Textiles and RMG industry

Close observation: Bangladesh Textiles and RMG industry

How could we ensure job security, good job environment, environmental/economic sustainability? Who should be responsible at what points? I think there is high risk of job security in Bangladesh textiles and RMG factories, buying, and sourcing houses. Even very unhealthy job environment, mindsets, financial, mental and physical disruptions. Last few months I have been in touch with different level people regarding a PhD research works on Sustainable Development of Textiles and Fashion Industries.
Bangladesh Textiles and RMG industry

Experience is horrible!! People do not try to understand the value and importance of research. Mindsets are so ridiculous. Then How do we expect this RMG sector to grow more sustainability? Still we are just carrying order/demand from foreign brands. How many of we understand that there is geographical-economic-environmental politics with fashion business, lack of responsible sourcing and pricing? and Bangladesh a top victim somehow? With the vague word "Sustainability", Bangladesh somehow unethically pressurised to some points, and many are doing huge business in the name of Sustainability word. Of course the industry needs sustainable development but our BD factories are increasingly fighting with one another by reducing prices.

When you approach people to cooperate research, share insights, thoughts, they get so afraid/confusing to talk and think negatively as if it would be live telecasting in YouTube/media /newspaper/TV etc... Ha ha ha. How ridiculous and negatively considered! Despite repeatedly saying/confirming that nothing will be disclosed, just for scientific analysis, no identification will be collected, research ethics is strictly maintained, and ultimately for the betterment of Bangladesh textiles and RMG industries bla bla bla.

If University-industry research activities are not cooperated/appreciated, then foreign organisations will continue to misuse our workforce/natural resources, workers, environment, economy etc. But many people are highly knowledgeable, experienced, and enjoy contributions to research works enthusiastically for the Sustainable development of this sector.
